In the Indian epics, Apsaras are celestial beings. They are the dancers in the court of Indra, the Lord of the heaven. They possess heavenly beauty and are enchantresses who captivate others by their alluring beauty. They are skilled at many performing arts such as dance and music. Sometimes they are sent to earth by Indra to distract those sages and kings who pose spiritual threat to his throne in the heaven.
Here, the Apsara is all set for her dance in Indra’s court , where many kings in the heaven assemble. She is doing the final touches before her celestial dance !!
