The ravishing greenery that is spread all around as a result of the swaying coconut trees throughout the region., the alluring backwaters surrounded by the coconut trees., create a sense of tranquility and mesmerizing scenic beauty .

This painting depicts the peace and simplicity of village life by the backwaters of Kerala. Life which is in harmony with nature !! The women folk are heading to the market in the morning while a boatman passes by.

Tara Krishna,PhD is based in Tokyo and her artworks include pencil drawings, watercolor and acrylic paintings. She holds a BSc,MSc,MPhil and doctorate. She has published scholarly articles and research papers in national and international academic peer reviewed/refereed journals.
